While looking for food I stumbled across this place because of the reviews on Yelp. I took one star away only because for the pho they only offered beef broth not chicken as well. I understand why from a cost perspective but someone with dietary restrictions it limits many of the options. The food: 4/5 I saw many items on the menu that looked tasty and ordered the chicken as well as pick bahn mi. They were absolutely delicious with the amount of meat packed into them. The only thing that I did not like was how crunchy the bread was. I was a little concerned for my teeth at some points during the meal and the mess I made from the crumbs all over the table. The service : 3/5 when I entered I was immediately greeted and sat down right away. The sever brought the menu quickly and then came back after to take the order. There was nothing phenomenal about the service, basically filled the water and asked how the food was. I would say there was nothing that went above and beyond. The ambiance: 5/5 I loved that in the back of the restaurant there is a train. It was super cool to look at as well as the architecture on the ceiling. The music they played seemed like top hits from the radio which was nice. There is a single restroom located towards the back of the restaurant.

They have a new menu! It looks like a placemat, and I think it is a great idea. They are focusing on their specialties. Even with the small changes, I remain a devoted patron of this restaurant.

I came here for the great reviews and I can say that it's not bad for the price They give you free tea and one free egg roll for each person if you dine in. The workers are all nice and fast. There's restrooms inside. They take card and cash The pho was like $11 for a large and there is a Lot of noodles. Broth isn't bad, wish it was a tad more flavorful Got the vermicelli with grilled pork chop and it wasn't too bad. For $10 it was a lot less noodles compared to the large pho. The pork chop was really flavorful I just wish there was like more veggies in the vermicelli. Got the grilled pork banh mi to go and that is where it's at. The bread is so soft. The pickled veggies are good, the grilled pork is so flavorful and a lot of meat. I would definitely be coming back for their banh mi

A real change after the last visit. The price here still kept the same as years ago. I can't see how they are not affected by the inflation but quality is still the same or maybe better than before. It is interesting how they still be able to provide free spring roll if you dine in with a bowl of pho only costs $8.95. That type of price has been gone years ago. The server is so much nicer than before. Now it is definitely my to go for spot for pho in Chinatown.

It's been decades since my one and only visit to Vietnam. Eating Pho off the street is bliss. Yet back stateside good pho is allusive. That is until Pho 87! Big shoes dear readers!! Yet Pho 87 delivers Big Time. Start with fresh spring rolls and follow with grilled chicken pho. Flavor is exceptional with a hint of mint. Prices are right so you can overlook the average service. Enjoy!

I was expecting this to be more of a whole in the wall place--but my expectations were exceeded! The decor is interesting and beautiful even if it's slightly leaning into some self stereotyping with the straw hats, and trains. I asked how long they've been open and the waiter said one year, so I'm assuming that's how long they've been reopen since Covid. The restaurant itself is spacious and it's lots of indoor seating. The waitstaff is attentive and everything on the menu is super affordable. Most of the pho options were under $10!! The broth was delicious and super flavorful, some of the best I've ever had and perfect for a rainy Monday. Every guest gets a free pork spring roll that comes with fish sauce. I believe you have to spend $10 to use your credit card and they only accept visa and mastercard. The lemongrass filet mignon cubes with rice WAS AMAZING. Overall, I would definitely come back here. It's a very convenient location across from the park and on the same block as Wah Fung.

Short review: Would recommend the bo luc lac/lemongrass porkchops/fried rice of all things. In general lemongrass dishes were better. Photos on menu doesn't always match the order. Went here a while ago with several others. The food here was solid with my only complaint being that the photos don't really match the dishes (especially the dessert.) I got a soda xí muội/preserved plum soda to drink which I have had prior. They serve similar stuff in some Japanese spots and I find it tasty. They first provided a spring roll/chả giò for everyone as per their deal. This was fine. The extra big bowl combination phở with mixed beef was large and quite tasty. The grilled beef with rice sticks, lettuce & veggies for wraps (a type of bánh hỏi) was small and not recommended. The sautéed shrimp and bell peppers with lemongrass was very tasty and in general I liked the lemongrass in most dishes. We also got the salt and pepper squid which I didn't try of course. We asked for fried rice/cơm chiên and our host couldn't decide between pineapple or basil and the nice staff gave us a mix of pineapple and basil fried rice (with the basil rice being mixed with pineapple and added to a pineapple. It was excellent. Outside of the fried rice, I would also recommend the bò lúc lắc or shaken beef consisting of marinated beef pieces cooked with onions. Nice tender beef and not overly sweet. The lemongrass pork chops/sườn nướng were also excellent which wasn't surprising as the other lemongrass dish was excellent. Very tender pork. Our only dessert was the Chè ba màu or three colors. Much smaller than the photo which looked more like a sundae (unsure if they are just using online photos or something) but pretty tasty. Good spot. Prices were fine. Nice staff.

Wow, what a hidden gem!! Can't believe I never came here until now. Thanks to my fellow yelpers for all the great reviews. The restaurant did not disappoint. Nice decor with plenty of tables. We got there for a late dinner on a Friday night. Everything from shrimp rolls to spring rolls to Vietnamese sandwich to pho to grilled pork chops were amazing, and they were all huge portions! Prices are very reasonable too! Service was excellent and quick. It is definitely one of our go-to Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown from now on.
